Microsoft has released another so-called “compatibility update” for Windows 10, this time aimed at systems running the Fall Creators Update and preparing for the upgrade to April 2018 Update.The update is listed as KB4135058 and is available via Windows Update right now, with Microsoft explaining on the official KB page that it’s downloaded and installed automatically.
The purpose of this update isn’t very clear, but the software giant explains that it “makes improvements to ease the upgrade experience to Windows 10 version 1709.”
This description, however, is a little odd because the Applies to section actually points to Windows 10 version 1709 the one that’s getting the update, so it can’t be a patch aimed at systems running the Fall Creators Update in order to upgrade to the same Fall Creators Update.
