Microsoft has started shipping firmware updates for several of its Surface models that have already been updated to the April 2018 Update.While no specifics have been provided, it looks like the new firmware updates, which also come alongside driver updates, are specifically supposed to address compatibility issues with the latest Windows 10 feature release.
Microsoft hasn’t updated the firmware pages of its Surface models, but according to reports, Surface Book 2, Surface Laptop, and Surface Pro are all getting new improvements as we speak.
Windows 10 April 2018 Update was released as a manual download on April 30, while the public rollout via Windows Update started on May 8.
