Windows 10’s Paint 3D App Receives Update to Save Projects to Video

Microsoft has released an update for the Paint 3D app that allows users to save their projects in either GIF or MP4 video format.

Paint 3D is a modern interpretation of the classic Paint app that comes with more advanced capabilities and an increased focus on 3D content generation. It’s pre-installed in Windows 10 and offered alongside the classic version, though the latter could soon move to the Microsoft Store as an optional download.

As the main painting app in Windows, Paint 3D is getting most of Microsoft’s love, and a recent update brought functionality to export content to video formats.

First released to insiders earlier this year, this particular feature is bundled right into the saving UI at File > Save as > Video.
