Windows 10 Redstone 5 Could Finally Launch with a Control Center

Microsoft announced back in 2017 that a Control Center would be coming to Windows 10, and now a screenshot shows that the Redstone 5 update due in the fall could finally bring it to users.

The Control Center is essentially a new place on Windows 10 that would be accessible with a taskbar icon and allowing users to easily enable features like network connectivity, airplane mode, Night light, mobile hotspot, and battery saver.

All these options are now available in the Action Center, but with a Control Center, Microsoft wants to make everything more straightforward, especially because these buttons would be entirely separated from notifications.

Work on the Control Central presumably started last year, and while the current insider builds do not include it, a recent finding indicates that it shouldn’t take too long before the new feature makes its debut in preview builds.
